SHIPPING & RETURNS POLICY

Need To Return Something? Read this form and return your completed return form included with your order. This form must be signed or return will be refused. You must write order number on outside of box and reship in a new unused box well packaged to prevent damage. We are not responsible for damage to items while in transit.

Helmet to Big? No need to return! There are other options to returning a helmet that is too big. You can request to have sizing foam sent to customize your helmet to fit. This easy process will take only a few minutes and give you a custom fitting helmet. This is available for Novelty Helmets only and should not be used for DOT or Snell Helmets. Returns / Exchanges Please complete and return the completed return form included with your original order. All questions must be answered or delays in processing may occur.

1. Returns for Exchanges must be received by us at our location within 30 days of date of purchase to be accepted.  Returns for refunds must be received by us at our location within 14 days of original ship date

3. All returns must meet the conditions of the return guidelines outlined on our website at www.thehelmetsource.com and include all product materials (warranty cards, instruction manuals). Any merchandise not meeting the return guidelines will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense..

4. Any promotional merchandise or free merchandise must accompany the return or a charge for the value of the non returned merchandise will be deducted from your return.

5. Do not return your merchandise if your item has been used, smells of odor, or has damage of any kind as it will not be accepted for return or exchange. Your return must be sellable for full price to be accepted. Items not meeting all return criteria will be refused and returned to you at your expense.

6. We strongly urge all returns to be shipped by a carrier with a traceable tracking number and insured for the full value of the return. We are not responsible for any package while in transit to us. Items damaged in shipping will not be accepted and you will need to file a claim on the insurance you purchased to recover any loses or merchandise.

7. Do Not Re-Use our Shipping box: Package the return in a new box with sufficient packaging materials to prevent damage.  Returns received that have re-used our shipping box will not be accepted for return or exchange. Your return will be refused and returned at your expense if our box is re-used. Many manufacturers require their items to be shipped in only sturdy cardboard that exceeds that inwhich they provide with their product.

8a. Merchandise and Size Exchanges: Items can be exchanged for any merchandise on our site with no restocking fee. Please see store policies page for return conditions to ensure your item meets the return criteria. Please ensure the Order # and the words "Exchange" are visible on the outside of the box. A $10 reshipping fee will be charged to cover reshipping your return, plus a $4.75 return handling fee. All returns will be shipped standard ground shipping. Our low prices do not include reshipping of returns or exchanges, whereas, many companies build this charge into every product they sell, we choose to keep our prices low and only charge customers who return merchandise instead of every customer.

8b. All Other Returns Must Be Received within 14 days (Does not apply to exchanges): Please allow approximately 30 business days, after we receive your item for return processing. Returns will be issued to the credit card originally used for your purchase less any return and/or restocking fees. Items originally Shipped with Free Shipping will be accessed a $10 Return Fee to cover initial costs of shipping. A 15% restocking fee is assessed to all returns in addition to any other fees outlined in our online return policy. Although we work hard to make returns ready for resale, some returns require extensive work and will be charged as follows: Helmet Manual Missing $7.00, Helmet manual retag fee $5.00, missing stickers $3.00, excessive cleaning (ie.Removal of hair, lint, etc..) $3.00. Returns that appear to have been used will not be accepted. Our low prices do not include reshipping of returns or exchanges, whereas, many companies build this charge into every product they sell, we choose to keep our prices low and only charge customers who need to return merchandise instead of every customer.

8c. Received the wromg item : Please return your new, unused item for immediate exchange for the correct one. Write Wrong Item on outside of the box and include a note inside the box telling us of the problem. We will promply correct and reship the item to you at no charge. We will also reimburse you for standard ground shipping to return the package to us. Customer service is very important to us and although we strive to ship every order correct, occassionally, a mistake may be made. We sincerely regret if this happens and any inconvenience to you.

9. International orders: No returns, refunds or exchanges will be accepted for International Orders or addresses for any reason. International sales are all sales final. Do not return your item for return or exchange as it will not be accepted and left in the hands of your shipper.

10. After return processing has been completed we will email you when finished. Exchanges will automatically be reshipped and you will receive a new shipment confirmation notice once your exchange has been processed and is being re-shipped to you. All refunds are at the sole discretion of The Helmet Source Inc, in regards to quality of return and refund policies questions.

11. Damaged Goods/ Shipping Damage - Do Not Ship Back to US! You must retain all packaging and damaged goods in order for a claim to be filed and successfully completed. After receiving damaged goods please notify the driver if possible and email us at support@thehelmetsource.com for instructions. Insurance claim processing varies by carrier and no reshipment or replacement will be made prior to determination of claim by the shipper or shipping agent. All shipping claims are at the disrection of the shipper and may or may not be replaced based in part on information you may or may not provide with your claim.

12. Wiley X & Bobster Eyewear: A 20% restocking fee will be accessed for return or exchange on any Wiley X or Bobster glasses due to their delicate nature and inspection process.

13. You must complete the return form included with your package. Please be sure to includeyour name, order number, phone number, item exchanging for, any colors and/or sizes for these items as well. Thank you for choosing The Helmet Source.
