All returns/ exchanges must be requested within ten days of receiving your order and received by us within thirty days of your original ship date to qualify for return or exchange, no exceptions. No return or exchange on internation orders. Return authorization number required, and must be written and visible on outside of box to be accepted. See How to return an item below for details

|
You can return any item purchased from TheHelmetSource.com except for the following items:
- Special Order Merchandise is not available for return or exchange
- Merchandise that is for a specific Motorcycle or application. Examples: you can return helmet, jackets, gloves, mirrors, etc... but not windscreens, tires, exhaust or bike specific merchandise.
- Used, soiled, worn and/or damaged merchandise is not available for return or exchange.
- Used or broken items. These items will fall under the category of warranty.
- No returns on any item that has been installed or missing installation parts.
- No returns or exchanges on international order, for any reason.
- Electrical items such as helmet communication systems or any item containing electrical compnents are not available for return or exchange.

How to Return an Item |
|
|
Completely read the return/ exchange guidelines to ensure your item is available for return or exchange. Items that are received by us that are not available for return will be returned to you at your expense.
We strongly urge you to pack your return with enough padding and in proper condition to ensure your return is received by us in sellabe condition at full price. Please re-package your return in a different box than the one you received the items in. Most boxes cannot handle the riggers of shipping multiple times and your merchandise is at a higher risk of being damaged, refused by us and returned to you at your expense.
Complete our online RMA (Return Authorization) Request Form by clicking here. Follow the instructions on the form and ship all returns to our return facility addressed as below. Do not assume the address on the box you received will be the proper return address. Your return should be addressed as follows:

Exchanges: Remember to include detailed information on the item you are exchanging for such as name of item, cost of item, color, size etc... This will prevent delays in processing your return. Once your return is processed we will ship your exchange and bill the credit card on file for your original order.
Do Not return items that were damaged in transit to you or that are the incorrect item without first speaking with one of our associates for further instructions.

Rules & Regulations:
Exchanges must be received at our return facility within thirty days of original ship date to qualify for return or exchange
Return Number is required to be on the outside of the box Return numbers are obtained by completing our online return request form by clicking here.
All Returns, whether for exchange or credit must meet the return criteria to qualify for return or exchange:
- Item(s) must be in new, unworn, unsoiled, undamaged and in sellable condition to be accepted for return or exchange. All product tags must be complete, undamaged, and attached as from factory to qualify for return or exchange. Any product packaging including manufacturers boxes must be returned undamaged and complete.
- Please include any free promotional products you received as a part of your order. Any promotional items not returned in connection with your merchandised being returned will be billed at retail pricing.
- Customer is responsible for properly packaging, shipping and insuring their return to us. We are not responsible for items while in transit to us. Customer is responsible for cost of shipping any return or exchange.
- we highly recommend using a shipper with a tracking number and insurance for the value of the item.
- Items must be shipped in a new unused box suitable for shipping an item without the item being damaged. Do not re-use the same box we shipped to you in as it may not be suitable for double shipping. Please use proper amounts of packing materials to ensure no damage is made to items returned. We are not responsible for items damaged in transit and we highly suggest purchasing shipping insurance for your return.
- Shipping and handling charges are non-returnable/ non-refundable for any reason and will not be included in calculation of returns or return credit.
- All returns subject to our approval. Any return not meeting our return criteria will be returned to you at your expense.
- Items originally shipped with free shipping will be assessed a $10 return fee. Returns from Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico will be charged for actual cost of shipping from our original shipment.
- Returns for exchange may be exchanged for any merchandise in our store and will not be subject to a restocking fee unless otherwise noted herein.
- All Returns for credit will be subject to a 20% restocking fee in addition to any other fees listed herein. Original shipping and Handling fees will not be used in calculation of the store credit, nor be refunded or credited for any reason.
- Wiley X & Bobster eyewear will be subject to an additional 10% restocking fee for exchanges or refunds due to their delicate nature and additional handling.
- We inspect all returns to ensure that they meet all the conditions of the return policy. Item(s) not meeting the return conditions will be held for return to you at your expense. Items not claimed after 30 days will acrue a warehouse fee of $3.00 per month until claimed or until funds to reship have been obtained and paid. In most instances these items will be immediately billed to your vredit card on file and returned to you at your expense.
- Please allow 2-4 weeks for return processing, time starts after we have received the item for processing not from date of mailing. Missing or incomplete information, orders without an account created when initial order was placed may result in delays of up to 2 weeks.
- International orders are not available for return or exchange for any reason, nor will any return from an international address be accepted at our facilities. International Sales are Final, no exchange, no refunds, no exceptions.
- Any item returned to us not meeting our return criteria that causes loss in any way will be billed to customer and enforced under the limits of the law including collections, court costs and attourneys fees, interest (16% annual) and warehouse fees. Reimbursement for any fees, including but not limited to chargeback fees, attourneys fees, and other expenses associated with the collection of monies will be over and above original amount due.
- Under no circumstance will a refund or credit be issued for a return that is damaged, or improperly returned to us that results in damage. These items will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense.
- Do not return your merchandise if your item has been used, smells of odor, or has damage of any kind as it will not be accepted for return or exchange. Please try to remove excessive hair from inside helmets as we do charge for this. Your return must be sellable for full price to be accepted. Items not meeting all return criteria will be refused and returned to you at your expense.
- Although we work hard to make returns ready for resale, some returns require extensive work and will be charged as follows: Helmet Manual Missing $7.00, Helmet manual retag fee $5.00, missing stickers $3.00, excessive cleaning (ie.Removal of hair, lint, etc.) $3.00+.
- We expect to receive your return or exchange merchandise in the same condition as when you received it. If you've removed the tags and stickers and/or wore the helmet or garment do not send it back as it will be refused.
Fees / Charges
- Exchanges: No fee, except when merchandise exchanging for is less than merchandise returned. A restocking fee will only be charged on the unused balance unless store credit is requested. Re-shipping and handling fees will apply to the items exchanged.
- Returns for Credit: 20% Restocking. Items originally shipped with free shipping will also be assessed a return fee to cover original cost of shipping, as described above.
Any returned or exchanged items that do not follow the rules and policies listed above will be returned to sender and no credits will be issued.

- Merchandise must be in new condition with no signs of wear and all tags attached
- All original supplied product packaging and product materials must be included with return.
- Original manufacturers warranty cards, manuals and paperwork (if any) must be blank and returned.
- The customer must obtain a Return Authorization number by completing our easy returns form.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping charges. Insurance and a tracking number are highly recommended. We are not responsible for the returned item(s) lost, stolen or damaged while in transit. Exchanges may require additional shipping charges.
- We are strict on the quality of returned merchandise to ensure all products sold are always of the utmost quality. Please be certain your merchandise meets these return guidelines before returning. Items returned that do not meet these standards or items damaged enroute to us will not be accepted for return or credit.
Wiley X Brand Goggles or Sunglasses and Bobster Brand are not available for return under this plan. Please be sure of your style prior to ordering. Warranty and damaged goods will be honored for repair or exchange only. Items received after the ten day period will be subject to a 20% Restocking fee.

Packing your Return |
|
Never ship an item in its original manufacturers packaging - it is at higher risk of arriving damaged. Please use a sturdy box or other adequate packaging to ensure your return or exchange is not damaged on the way back to The Helmet Source return facility.
We are not responsible for goods we received that are damaged. These damaged goods become the property of the buyer if not shipped properly, and the return will be refused and returned to you. If you purchased insurance, you may be able to claim with the insurer/shipper. |

Received Wrong Item |
|
The Helmet Source strives to ship every order correct the first time, however, from time to time and error may occur. In such instances please contact our sales department to have the correction handled.
Please do not return the item without further direction from an associate. We will give detailed instructions on how this matter will be handled on a case by case basis. We will promply correct and reship the item to you at no charge. We will also reimburse you for standard ground shipping to return the package to us should a return be required. Customer service is very important to us and although we strive to ship every order correct, occassionally, a mistake may be made and we sincerely regret if this happens and any inconvenience to you. |

Received Damaged Item |
|
|
Do Not Ship Back to US! You must retain all packaging and damaged goods in order for a claim to be filed and successfully completed. After receiving damaged goods please notify the driver if possible and contact us for instructions. Insurance claim processing varies by carrier and no reshipment or replacement will be made prior to determination of claim by the shipper or shipping agent. All shipping claims are at the disrection of the shipper and may or may not be replaced based in part on information you may or may not provide with your claim. If you opened your helmet and immediately dropped the helmet and there is no damage to the box, the shipper will not pay a claim and your item will not be replaced.

Returned / Refused Orders |
|

Customer is responsible for address quality. Items returned for any reason, including, but not limited to, refusal by customer or customer agent/resident, undeliverable address, incomplete or incorrect address will be subject to a 20% restocking fee and a 15% processing fee in addition to any shipping fees incurred. Items requiring reshipping will incur the restocking fee, the additional charges associated with the return of your package as well as any new shipping charges.
